AC Lifeguarding
Andrew Critelli has been guarding, training, and conditioning swimmers for over 20 years. He spent his childhood summers on the shores of Takanassee in Long Branch, New Jersey, and couldn’t be kept out of the water. He was a swimmer for Long Branch High School where he helped set a school record in the 200 Medley Relay. He was a Pool and Ocean lifeguard in Long Branch for 10 years. He attended West Virginia University and studied Physical Education. He's been a Health/P.E. teacher and coach in the Long Branch School District for 13 years. As a swim instructor, he has taught hundreds of children to learn to swim. In addition to a Red Cross swim instructor certification, Andrew is also a certified Pool Operator. As a Lifeguard instructor with the Red Cross, students will be pool certified in Lifeguarding and receive training in First Aid, CPR , and using an AED. Andrew’s unique experience as a teacher and coach combined with his love of aquatics has perfectly equipped him to train and certify the next generation of lifeguards.
